One to One

Working on a one to one basis with a child or young person has many benefits – individual attention with a session focused on their needs. A non-judgemental adult who is there to listen and to accept them unconditionally; to support them to understand their feelings and make the changes in their life that they want.

Groups

Working within a group to build social skills and confidence has many benefits – learning to share, take turns, negotiate, understand the need for rules and boundaries, accepting the opinion of others and building the confidence to express your own opinion. These skills transfer to home, school and the wider community, enabling young people to become effective members of society.

Aspires Project

Dreadnought Aspires project is a moving on programme – the overall aim of the project is to support young people with ASC to access mainstream social activities.

Our Ethos and Philosophy

Empowerment, one of the most important words in Dreadnought’s philosophy. Empowerment with The Dreadnought Centre is about young people taking on more responsibility, more power and more control; making informed decisions for themselves.
