A COVID-19 Update from Dreadnought’s CEO

A COVID-19 Update from Dreadnought’s CEO

First and foremost, I sincerely hope that everyone is keeping well and safe.

When we closed Dreadnought’s doors three weeks ago it was with the full intention of returning to ‘normal’ service after the Easter holidays. At that time, with few sessions scheduled over the holiday period, we felt we were being cautious. Needless to say, things have changed somewhat since then.

It will come as no surprise to you that we will not be opening our doors again next week. Our face to face work will not be resuming and, at this point in time, I cannot estimate when this may resume.

Our thoughts and concerns lie with the children and young people who are currently accessing our services and those would wish to do so. With this in mind, the team and I have been working tirelessly over the past three weeks to create an alternative service to offer. This is not yet fully formed nor operational but is likely to take the form of an online service. All of our current service users will be notified when this service is operational and I will maintain regular updates.

In the meantime, we are accepting new referrals and it would be of great use to us, if it could be stated, whether the young person being referred, would be willing / able to engage in an online session.

With my sincere best wishes to you all.
